Bowie Police Department partnered with Responder MAX on a targeted recruitment campaign that generated 1,000+ leads and helped grow the department from just over 50 officers to 70 officers in 2026.

Montana’s Bold Campaign to Recruit 1,000 New Volunteer Firefighters

Developing a message that resonated with Montana residents paid off, with the campaign far exceeding its recruitment goals. Heading into the final quarter of 2024, the campaign had generated 475 leads—well above the goal of 300 for the year.

By the end of 2024, the department generated 54 leads, tripling its annual goal of 18. Since the start of the project, it has brought in an incredible 109 leads, achieving over 605% of its original goal.
